We live and work in New York City, and we have an outstanding network that ensures we're always in the know. Our scouts are on the go day and night to keep LOCALIKE's database up to date at all times. What's more: We don't rely on secondary sources. We get to know all of our offerings firsthand.

Can I request that LOCALIKE revise my travel recommendations if I don't like them?

Yes. We will update up to 30% of all the recommendations made, free of charge. Just let us know which recommendations don't appeal to you, and why not. We will be happy to find appropriate alternatives and will make them available in your account as quickly as possible.

Is my personal information secure at LOCALIKE New York?

Absolutely. At LOCALIKE, data protection is a top priority. All of your data is stored securely at LOCALIKE, and we never make it available to third parties.

Who are the people behind LOCALIKE New York?

LOCALIKE New York is owned by BE NEW YORK LLC and was founded in 2012 by Andreas Leuzinger and Simon Mingozzi. The company is registered in the U.S. Commercial Register and is 100% independent and owner-operated.

Is LOCALIKE New York independent?

Yes. We do not have contracts with promoters or restaurants. LOCALIKE New York is not financed by commissions, kickbacks, or affiliate marketing. This guarantees our independence, and it guarantees that our recommendations to you are absolutely unbiased.

What advantage does LOCALIKE New York have over traditional travel guides?

Absolutely! The comprehensive LOCALIKE Travel Profile offers more than enough themes, activities, and ideas to enable you to find the best common denominator for everyone. Your best approach is to complete the profile together, enabling each traveler to contribute his or her requests and plans.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. You can cancel before the personalized travel recommendation has been released in your account (that is, no more than five business days after placing your order). To cancel, please e-mail us.

How long does it take to receive my travel recommendations?

Your personalized Trip Planner will be loaded directly to your LOCALIKE account within five business days. From there, you can make any final changes and create a PDF of it, including maps.

How can I contact LOCALIKE New York?

You can reach us by e-mail, telephone, or Skype. Our New York office is open from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Can I also book individual LOCALIKE days?

Yes. Our "New York SELECTION" and "New York SMART" offers are available for just one day or for multiple days. "New York PERSONAL" must be booked for at least two days.

Is it possible to extend a previously booked arrangement during my stay?

Yes. You can purchase additional LOCALIKE days in your account at any time ($40 per day).

Does LOCALIKE give quantity discounts?

Yes. For "New York PERSONAL", additional days cost less the longer you stay. You can also take advantage of the combination discount of 10% off "New York SMART" when you book it together with "New York PERSONAL" or "New York SELECTION".

In what languages can I book LOCALIKE?

We advise our customers in English, German, and Italian.

Will LOCALIKE get me in everywhere?

We have an excellent network in NYC, and we carefully review our offerings. However, we have no direct influence on the business practices of third parties, especially because we forego commissions. Unfortunately, this means we can't make everything possible. But almost! And we promise only what we can also deliver.
